this studio explores hypothetical structures and systems in objects, nature, phenomena, and social networks. It deconstructs and reconstructs these systems to create devices that operate differently from their original conditions, fostering imaginative opportunities through mismatched components.
It examines contemporary design processes and the architect's role in the digital era, focusing on gaps in design-to-construction documentation. Leveraging these gaps, the studio advances design workflows using simulations, 3D modeling, and virtual reality.
Inspired by the Cabinet of Curiosities, it involves collecting and analyzing objects and data, reorganizing them to create new connections. Through mini-workshops and tutorials, digital skills are developed, transforming collected elements using Maya, ZBrush, Houdini, and Rhino. The final systems are reconstructed in virtual reality for an immersive experience.
